Florida Youth Council looking for a few good young people!
The <http://www.fddc.org/> Florida Developmental Disabilities Council and
the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, along with the National Youth
with Developmental Disabilities Development Information Center, are joining
forces to create the
<http://www.fddc.org/home/Announcements/Florida%20Youth%20Council.asp>
Florida Youth Council. Please help this group blaze new trails by
encouraging young people and emerging leaders to apply to serve on this
council.
As part of an innovative federal grant, the
<http://www.fddc.org/home/Announcements/Florida%20Youth%20Council.asp>
Florida Youth Council is only one of three in the United States. The FYC
<http://www.fddc.org/home/Announcements/Florida%20Youth%20Council.asp> will
be comprised of 10-20 young people (ages 15-17) and emerging leaders
(ages18-30) with developmental disabilities.
We need your assistance with this important initiative by encouraging young
people and emerging leaders with developmental disabilities to apply to
become member of the
<http://www.fddc.org/home/Announcements/Florida%20Youth%20Council.asp> FYC.
Please forward the application found

to any young person with Developmental Disabilities you recommend. Also,
note the enclosed federal definition is relevant to a youngster's membership
of the
