Hey all, I got this notice via snail mail today and thought it might be of interest:
Helping Museums Care for Collections
The Heritage Health Index found that 75% of small museums and historical
societies need a condition assessment of their collections. Are you one of them?
If so, the Conservation Assessment Program, CAP, can help!
CAP provides general assessments for small to mid-size museums, zoos, and
botanical gardens and is supported through a cooperative agreeement with the
Instutute of Museum and Library Services.
The 2007 CAP applications will be available Friday, Oct 6, 2006. To request an
application, call 202.233.0800 or email [log in to unmask] . The
application will also be available for download from
www.heritagepreservation.org/cap/ .
