Hi.

I found the comment about the G5RV working better on 300 ohm twinlead than
450 ladder line to be very interesting.  If it wasn't such a bear to get my
antenna down, I would be tempted to replace the 450 ohm ladder line with
300 ohm.  I almost did anyway.  My antenna was struck by lightning, and 300
ohm twinlead was easier to get than 450 ohm line, so I almost
switched.  Wish I had, now.

Regarding the balun, my first G5RV had one, and the last three that I've
had up didn't.  I always found them to be more hassle than they are worth.
