AThe cable unplugs from both the head and the radio. It comes with a snap
on toroid for RFI which I forgot to install. Using an open wire fed
antenna, with the 450 ohm line running once around the room before leaving
the shack, no problems. The cable ends in wires, don't know but their
must be a socket to match the plug on the end of your current line. Their
is one thing that just drives me nuts, and I can't understand. tThat is to
have the mike come out of the radio rather than the head. What's the use
of a 14 foot cable if you have to have the mike with in 5 feet of the radio?
The rig is so good, that I must forgive that obvious stupidity.
