thanks a lot. I was only interested in cross band for hf. Since it would be
neat if I were to use hf on a little hand held away from my station, like a
cordless phone, the way I've seen others operating. If I'm out in the garden
or at the cofy shop a block away, it would be good. I might want to take it
with me as I do my daily walk about. I bring my 2 meters with me sometimes
so I thought it would be possible for the hf. My understanding is that the
ts2000 has that ability. *

as in cross band repeat or just dual receivers?
It has dual vfo's, but doesn't have the capability to receive on 2
frequencies simaltaniously.
As for cross band repeat, it doesn't have those because most cross band
repeat only takes place between 70Cm and 2m and visa versa.
The 570 only goes up to 30 megs and 54 megs on the 570dg.
