I had a Radio Shack talking multi-meter that went bad on me, and tried for
almost a year to find a replacement, but to no avail.  I even tried getting
mine repaired through a number of sources, but the problem is that parts for
it are apparently no longer available.

This is why I ultimately bit the bullet and went for the Omega multi-meter.
There are just very few choices out there for these kinds of things.

Sad, but true!
