Check Earthlink's spam filter by signing into your web mail at
https://webmail.pas.earthlink.net/.
Check your spam settings.
Don't set to the highest level of protection, as this will block anyone who
is not in your address book. It may also generate a message to prove the
sender is legit

If you did set to the highest option, check your "suspect email" folder.
Otherwise, check your own "known spam" folder.
