was traveling thru http://boingboing.net/  came across a great little
short story on avacado's and some  fake guacamole dip with a very
breif reference on xanthan gum...

i use it, i know its safe, never knew where  it came from...

  "xanthan gum, a thickening agent produced by a bacterium that lives
on cabbage plants"

  so who has the time to scrape that off?
