I have just finished installing Win XP Pro on an older computer and  I found
out that f you do not have the ability to boot from a cd, then you must boot
from a win98 or ME floppy and then do the fdisk and then the format.  I
found this site very helpful with step by step instructions on how to do
everything from the fdisk to the total install of windows operating systems.
