Mike,

If you go to the support section in Echolink.org, you will find specific
instructions for echolink.  Basically, you go into the router settings using
the 192.168.1.1 address, enter in your username and password, (by default, the
linksys useername is blank and password is admin), and then open ports 5198
and 5199 as UDP and 5200 as both or TCP, as I recall.
