It's extremely accessible.  It's an old radio.  I've had mine since the
1970s.  There are two slide switches on the top, three more on the back, and
three wheels that rotate for the frequency selection.  The switches are all
two position so are easy to tell what position is selected.

On the top, the first switch is power and the second one chooses .000 or
.005 for the frequency.  On the back, one switch selects hi/low power, one
repeater/simplex, and the third +600 or -600 for the repeater offset.

The wheels on the top choose three digits of the frequency.  It's 1, 4,
first wheel, second wheel, third wheel, 0 or 5 from the switch.

I had a friend take an Exacto knife and cut a notch in the three frequency
wheels at the zero position.  From there, just count up or down to the
desired number for each digit.

There's a Touch Tone pad on the front but it's only used for autopatch.  It
does not control the radio's features.

hi list:
does anyone have any experience with operating the icom IC 2AT hand =
held?
I have one coming from ebay...actually a mistake since i actually was =
wanting a T2A but mixed up the letters and got a 2AT by =
accident...anyway, ive got the rig coming now and wonder if anyone could =
give me some operating tips regarding that radio and how accessible it =
is and button functions and use's and such.
