Hi.
The real shame is that there isn't a real easy way to determine what mode
or frequency you are on with this radio if you are blind. I had one before
I lost my usable vision, and I thought it was a better radio than anything
I am running now, and that is saying a lot, because I think that the
Kenwood TS690S is a pretty good radio. The Icom just had a good receiver
at a very reasonable price, and it made a darn good medium wave and SWL
receiver besides making a thoroughly decent transceiver. If I could tell
what frequency and mode I was on, I'd have one in an instant. I hated
selling mine.
