If it is the built in XP firewall, best to just disable it and if you want a
firewall get something else, that one is junk in XP.

Hi Fred, Windows XP has a biult-in firewall, that you need to disable.
If you get Service pack 2, I believe, the firewall is more configurable.
I am running xp on my echo link machine and it works fine, but I didn't
install it. Apparently, My friend that I got the machine from had
already disabled the firewall, as I didn't have to do a thing other than
forward the ports from my DSL modem. Hope this helps!
