Lorraine,
There might be an easy fix for that. Go to the Start Menu, then
the run command.
In the run dialog box, type in the following without the quotations.
"control userpasswords2"
From there a screen will pop up called User Accounts. Look for a
little check mark box that says "Users must enter a username and
password to use this computer." You uncheck that box, and it will ask
what user to boot up with and what password to use if the account has
one. Most likely you never had a password on the account.
