For at least one task, inserting new slide, you need to reach the task pane.
Thanks, H. L. Spiegel

Hi,
Why do you need to get access to the task pane? I have created several
PowerPoint presentations and, have not found a reason to do this. Mind you,
I have not used to many fancy effects or graphics.

Subject: Help using JAWS and Powerpoint
I'm hoping someone can help me with this.
I have a student who is using JAWS and needs to create a powerpoint
presentation for her class.
I know that JAWS can read powerpoint presentations, but as I'm preparing to
help her, I'm finding it difficult to get focus into the task pane area and
once there, navigating it.
Can anyone provide me with some information on how to do this?
I have keyboard shortcuts for Windows and Powerpoint, but the usual ones to
change focus aren't working well.
