Hi List,

I live in New Mexico and one of the things I REALLY miss since GF klonked me in the noggin is biscochitos, or Mexican cookies with anise seed and cinnamon flavor. Not only do they involve hefty amounts of flour, but also butter or lard, which would probably reignite my healing villi like, as my gastroenterologist put it, a burning log in a pool of gasoline.

So, I just wonder, might anyone out there have come up with a tasty alternative to biscochitos?

Regards,
Patricia
