Is the blood supply safe for celiacs undergoing major sugery? If some
celiacs are undiagnosed and have leaky gut or other blood donors use
topicals that have gluten, then could their blood have remants of gluten
that could trigger a reaction in a surgery patient receiving blood?

I would be interested in any celiacs out there that have gone through open
heart surgery and had to deal with blood supply issues? Also, I seem to be
corn intolerant so also interested in corn starch or corn derivatives that
might be in medications or IV solutions. I'm not allergic, just intolerant,
(as far as I know) to corn so perhaps it doesn't matter if it gets in my blood.

Any insights would be appreciated. I'll summarize.

Bob
