Thank you to everyone who replied and gave many suggestions on dining
out in Phoenix and Tucson. I appreciate how nice and helpful everyone
is. I had several people ask for the web sites I referred to. Both
Phoenix and Tucson have celiac web sites which are very helpful.

Phoenix: HYPERLINK

Tucson: HYPERLINK

Both of these sites have wonderful information including dining out at
local restaurants.

Summary of replies I received:

Havanna Café—(address in Phoenix web site)
PF Chang’s—(address in Phoenix web site)
Pei Wei’s-—(address in Phoenix web site)
Outback Steak House—(address in Phoenix web site)
Thaiphoon's—(address in Phoenix web site)
Z'teja's—(address in Phoenix web site)
Sonoran Mexican is delicious but be careful. Wheat in Spanish is
'arrina' - if you stick with corn chips, salsa. guacamole taco salad,
bean tostados and rice you will do well. Fajitas are ok too. Avoid
Cheese crisps (flour torts) enchiladas (flour in sauce), burritos, chimi
changas.
Central / Midtown - Firecracker grill - Pan Asian Food. special GF menu
online - ask server. nice patio in Plaza Palomino at Swan and Ft.
Lowell Road
Central / UA - Kingfisher Grill. Grant / Tucson.
North - Blue Point Kitchen - La Encantada Plaza, Sunrise & Campbell
All around town - La Salsa Grill, Chipotle - Fresh Mexican grill
North Central - River & Campbell - PF Changs
East - Jonathan's Cork - Wilmot & Pima (where it turns into Tanque
Verde, 1 mile N of Speedway)
I live in Chicago, but whenever I visit Phoenix we always eat at
Tuchetti's in Phoenix. It is a Lettuce Entertain You restaurant and
they let me bring my own pasta. The managers are very knowledgeable
about gluten free and advise me what I can eat. Call in advance and
speak to a manager. I give the pasta as soon as I arrive so that they
have time to boil it in a fresh pot of water. It is our favorite place
to eat, both those GF and non GF Barb.
