Hello all,

Thanks for all your suggestions about the actual linking of my 2
computers. They are now communicating with each other, and file sharing
and printer sharing is cool. I ended up installing a 2nd Ethernet card
on the Host computer that runs 98SE.

My next query concerns accessing the internet from both computers.

The ADSL connection works on the host computer running Win 98SE. I
followed the Internet sharing wizard and copied the files required for
the 2nd computer.

Unfortunately, when I tried to execute the file, I got the message that
the file needed Win98 to run. (the 2nd computer runs XP Pro). I then
checked the help files on XP Pro, and thought I read that you can only
share an internet connection if the HOST computer is running XP.

Have I misunderstood? There MUST be a work around.

Any suggestions will be gratefully accepted.

Thanks

Anne Smith
