Hi All,
The notebook: Eurocom, Milano. Model M3CW, Product Code M375C
WinXP, DVD drive: Matshita UJ 840-D (replacement, but didn't solve the
problem). The problem does not seem player-specific (tried WIN DVD,
Windows Media Player and RealAudio).
Problem:
DVD (commercial or home burnt) put in the player. It starts as if
everthing is working fine. Once the DVD starts to play - about 10 to 15
seconds into the beginning - this message appears:
"The player application has encountered a problem and needs to close. We
are sorry for the inconvenience."

Problem started after OS had to be reinstalled (I don't know why). Newly
purchase Win XP CD used for reinstall, all the drivers for Eurocom Milano
reinstalled.
Microsoft has only one suggestion: re-register wmpui.dll. I shall try it
tomorrow when I get the notepad. Any other suggestion, please??
Irena.
