Oh dear, this is definitely not a good situation! I am praying for you,
Cathy! And for Chris and for Greg and I am also laughing at Darius. Lol!

Subject: Now it's a girl

Hi Guys,
Well, Chris's latest obsession is a girl. I don't think that I need
to
lay out what the concerns are here. Her name is Nicki. Her older brother
is in jail for, aledgedly raping his youngest sister, which, of course, is
not true. (wink, wink!) Last night, chris wanted to go to Nicki's house
after work, around 8:00 pm, but we said know because it was a school
night. Well, Romeo, took off in the rain, on his bike, in the dark, and
then had the audacity to call us at 11:30 pm for a ride home. We said,
"no." He was home this morning, but we have no idea how. Nicki's mother
thinks that Chris is just wonderful, a much better choice than Nicki's
first boy friend. This girl is only 15 and she is not a virgin and she's
already trying to kick the smoking habit. What a life! Anyway, Chris
prefers her home because the parents get drunk together and have
fun. We're too straight laced. Ah, as you can tell, we're not out of the
woods yet! Hat's off to me though. I went to bed last night and didn't
fret. In fact, I finally had to talk to God and ask the holy spirit to
pray appropriately because I was just too angry to be decent and not
vengeful. For me, that's a step in the right direction! Chris's probation
officer gave him a lecture about fatherhood yesterday, but it probably went
in one ear and out the other. Oh you guys, I"m just so vexed! How's that!
To make matters worse, Greg is away for two days at a conference so
I'm
handling the home front alone. Please pray for my safety and sanity. The
knitting is really helping me to stay calm, except that, last night, the
phone wrang and, I didn't have it with me and had to run to get it. Darius
seized his chance and, well, I've dropped a bunch of stitches and now I
have to wait for someone to come over and help me fix it. Darius is so
happy that I've taken up knitting!! GRIN! It's something that we do
together!
Kathy
