Haleakala is quite a view. i have not had much luck in
securing a medal commemorating Haleakala. i managed to
get both silver and bronze for volcano national park
and the "place of refuge." can't remember the hawaiian
name for it.
i drove that little camry into places most people
probably would not have drove a truck there on maui.
some of the maps did not show roads where i drove. i'd
not suggest that for you mag. i'd not do it a 2nd time
knowing ahead of time what kind of "roads" i was going
to drive. however there was some fantastic sceanery
around that north end of the island.
