Howard,

I imagine gold wave is quite a bit off topic for this list but the best
advice I can give you is to go to:
www.jfwlite.com
and download the  scripts for jaws, assuming you're using jaws. Unzipp the
scripts to the C:\jawsXX\settings\enu folder, where XX is the version of
jaws you're using.

        Okay a bit more research.  Left and right bracket do mark places for
deleting text, but I can't hear the result to see if I did it without
saving the file, re-opening it and then listening.  At least their is save
as but is their a better way?
