Hi.
You have to open the configuration manager, pull down the Set Options menu,
and go to Synthesizer Options. It opens a dialog box where there is a
check box to allow wave files to use the synthesizer. I can't remember
exactly how it is worded, but that is the general idea. That setting does
help on some machines, but using a multi-channel sound card will help even
more if you can do it.
