you have to be transmitting when you hit the numbers and all, you can't just
push the numbers and that's it, hold the PTT button while hitting the
numbers.

Subject: TMV707A Question

Hi All,

As stated above, I have the TMV707A, which I really like, but I need to know
how to do something.

The IRLP link on our repeater is set up so that you pres pound to bring it
up and then enter the numbers for the node you want to reach. Well, if I
press pound and then start entering numbers the keypad simpley recognizes
them as the function keys they are set up to be and I, of course, get
nothing.
However, if I press "enter" first then pound, when I press the numeric keys
it gives me different numbers than what I'm pressing. For instance, I press
enter, pound 9 and it says enter pound 7. How do I use the keypad to bring
up an IRLP node? I feel certain there is a way around this but I don't know
what it is.

Thanks so much.
