I actually prefer listening to the Motorola Type III and other analogue type
systems with a conventional scanner or the T90. Many trunking scanners
don't allow you to listen to the "private calls" whereas you can hear
everything with a convential scanner. You just put in all the truncked
frequencies then lock out the control channel. With the T90 I lock out the
control channel using the CTCSS squelch. This generally works well unless
there are several conversations going on at once.
