Hi Tom.
I had another thought.
On my Standard, there was a recessed button in the rubber panel on the side
of the HT. Taking a pointed object such as the end of an unbent paper clip
into this button while powering the radio would reset it to factory
defaults. This would turn off any transmit inhibit function or any
non-standard repeater offsets.
