Yes it has the detachable faceplate.  Guess it's a 2720
I can sniff the display and have figured out waht I need to to work it
at least engaging the pl tone when I need to.
MOstly it's a matter of just turn it on since I've got the simplex
freq my xyl and I use in the 2 meter side and the most active 440
machine in the uhf side.
