It looks much harder than it really is.  It is very portable.  When broken
down, it is approximately 1 foot long, and weighs about 1 pound.  THe only
thing more portable, would be a roll of speaker wire, and heavy string.

You can do separate band coils as in the article, or wind one multiband
coil as I did.
I went to miami beach for a conference in November.

THe pac-12, a camera tripod, and my entire station went into my suitcase
along with a weeks worth of clothes.

I carry the whole station, antenna, and about 15 feet of rg58 coax in one
of those canvas shopping bags.  The rig for this is either the k2, with
microphone, key, and a radioshack 2 amp power supply for charging the
battery, or the elecraft kx1.  THis is a 3 band cw only rig.

I wish you were closer, and I'd let you put your paws on it.
