Laplink? That was the response I gave to the last post to which I responded.
In this case, Laplink or a similar program that hooks up two computers for
just this purpose would be appropriate. I believe they may even include a
cable to hook up the two computers.

Subject: Transferring jpegs from one computer to another
I have a Gateway 500 desktop, purchased in 1998 which contains more than =
600 photos in Kodak Easy Share program. I recently purchased a Toshiba S=
atellite laptop. I set up a router for the laptop. I was hoping to tran=
sfer all of those pictures to the laptop in order to be able to burn the =
pictures to CDs, a function I don't have with the Gateway. I thought I c=
ould do that, using a flash drive to transfer them, but the Gateway doesn=
't recognize it and I'm unable to figure out any other way of transferrin=
g the pictures except by the laborious process of e-mailing them. Someon=
e told me that connecting the laptop to the router using an ethernet cabl=
e would accomplish this task. I'm looking to the experts for any suggesti=
ons?=20
Thanks in advance.
