Hi,
The boss's computer is having trouble. Whenever it sleeps to a blank
screen, it won't wake up. Not only that, but it often has this strange
pixelation around the mouse pointer, changing colors, choppy look. He also
complained that whenever he ran his CAD program and his photo program at
the same time, the computer would lock up and crash.
Found no viruses or spyware. No new software installed.
This computer has run for almost 3 years without a single crash, so I first
suspected the video card. Changed from a Diamond Stealth AGP to an ATI Rage
128 PCI and told him to try it out. I also disabled all power conservation
settings in the BIOS. A couple hours later he said the problem happened again.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks!
Tom
