Like you, I also have the Ccrane twin coil antenna.  The problem i have with
using it with the Sat800 inductivly coupled, it's very hard to find the
peak.  If I hook it to the 500 ohm connection, I can use the atenuator and
find the peak.  It would have been nice if the Sat800 had an rf gain
control.
