Hi everyone,
I was reading the newspaper this afternoon and read an article about
starting the New Year with a detoxification - specifically a spa treatment
that only costs $180 to $230 for 90 minutes. After describing the process in
detail, the description continues: "and the anthology follows through to the
final part of the treatment, in which you are sprinkled with FLOUR to
prevent the toxins you've just sweated out from re-entering your body."
Just a guess, but I don't think they are using rice flour or potato flour.
Think I'll pass on a detox treatment.
Then I went shopping in a store similar to Wild Oats, and spotted many new
items which I picked up to read the ingredients. Usual number of oh shucks,
I can't have that. Then I saw a package of no sugar carob chips. Hmm,
wonder what's in this product? Barley! They sweeten the carob chips
"naturally" with grains.
So, now the next time we see a product made with carob chips we can wonder
how those chips got sweetened.
Happy New Year!
Helen
