CAUTION: The New York Times online requires registration. The
February 2nd Dining & Wine Section will be available through next
Tuesday for free. After one week there is a fee. If you don't want
to register, then you can check your public library for a copy.

In the Dining & Wine Section of Wednesday's (Feb. 2nd) New York Times
there is an article by Nigella Larson, "In Defense of Poor, Maligned
Chocolate." She includes a recipe for Gateau Reine de Saba (a
flourless chocolate cake).

Her version of the cake recipe uses all ground almonds and no flour
as the traditional recipe used. In the article she states that her
version "makes this cake eminently suitable for those who are
gluten-intolerant." I was impressed that she mentioned the
gluten-intolerant specifically.

Happy Valentine's Day baking,

Betsy
