Just in case  you haven't tried this:

It has no label...Don't enter one, hit "enter" once you have tabbed dow
to the "label of drive:" and it should then ask if you are sure...etc.

partition delated.

Be forewarned:
I have attempted 3 or 4 fdisks with Maxtor drives over the last
year.(Logical Partitioning)  And have had to return the drives for
replacement...

Last time I deleted a partition, that part of the drive was no longer
recognized by Win 95.

Hope this is neither redundant late in arrival!
