I use Jaws 5.0 thru 7.0, Mozilla Firebox, and Thunder bird.
  I find control plus A is far better reader than insert down arrow.
It reads the page, and a space goes on to the next section.
I have to cheat and click  on the message area below the E-mail list.
On some websites, one gets a full line of talk, so a mishmash of lines
from horizontal frames appear, rather than screens.  However quite often
the control a will get a complete frame alone.
I notice no difference no matter which version of Jaws is used.
