I have been meaning to ask this list the same thing, but particularly with
regard to playing DVD's on laptops. I know some blind people are doing it.
I've never tried actually, but someone asked me recently to teach her! It'd
be a nice thing to know how to do.

Subject: [VICUG-L] DVD's
Hi, everyone.
I guess I'm very behind the times on this one, but I admit to never
having used a DVD myself. I don't even own a DVD player.
So now I'm wondering how a blind person accesses DVDs? How can we
tell what the menu choices are and select the one we want - or,
rather, maybe I should be asking whether we even CAN access DVDs
independently? I'm assuming that menu options are not spoken.
Thanks for your thoughts.
Rachel
