This week a newsreport came out that 7 women who were not inocculated for
Rubella, contracted the disease while pregnant. 4 Of them have given birth to
children with defects such as blindness. Another 30 infected women are still
pregnant and only after they have given birth will we be able to tell what the
effects will be.
Our former queen Juliana became ill with Rubella when she was pregnant with
her youngest. Princess Christina is bind in one eye and has hearing problems
too.
As more people decide against vaccinations for their children out of religious
beliefs or because they feel the vacs are more harmful then good, we see an
increase of diseases that were all but eredicated in the western world.
I'm not trying to make a statement in favour of vacs or against it. Simply
pointing out that there was a reason vacs were brought into the infant care
regime and it's up to the parents to decide whether to take a risk or not.

We somehow lost sight of what the risks are because we have not been in
contact with the results of diseases like Polio, Rubella, Mumps for boys in
puberty, Dyphteria etc.  Perhaps if we weigh up the dangers of the ingredients
of vacs versus the results of contracting such a disease we might be able to
make a good decision.
