Yes, there has been discussion, and generally agreed to be good, unless
it's Dr. Bernarr who is advocating fasting, in which case he is fiercely
attacked by some members of this list. ;)

Think division of labour; males hunted, females gathered. Males probably
fasted more often, females probably ate more often, but less in
nutritional density. Anyone can see this in modern behaviour.
