I do not understand why so many people on this list make a distinction between
foods native to different continents as more or less paleo. We have the "new world"
label thanks to Europeans who were simply not familiar with people beyond the
reaches of their land and seafaring technologies. The whole Earth is basically the
same age--so what is the difference where a particular food originated. If you want to
make a distinction about eating only locally grown food--that is a completely different
thing. I guess only people in the Americas can eat avocados, tomatoes, oregano,
cocolatl (chocolate), chiles, etc., etc.
