Amy,
I really believe that your relationship with your parents will get better
when you can move out and become independent. Right now, she still sees
you as a dependent child, but the more you can show her that you are an
independent, capable adult, the more both of your parents will respect
you and the more respect you will have for yourself. You're dealing with
the same feelings of frustration that every young adult feels to leave
the nest and strike out on your own, yet you question whether you can
really do it. You can!! You need to believe that and move toward it.
You're doing so much already. Breaking away may be hard at first, but
when it really happens, life, and your relationship with your parents,
will get better!
Kathy, Who is rooting for Amy! "GO GIRL!"
