it should transmit everywhere in the B band that it will in the A band.

I had sat the radio aside and I have forgotten a number of things.  I just
did a little experimenting.  I see it works as you said in the B band.  If
it is in the A band, the function followed by the four key turns the weather
channel on and off.  Now that I know that it will be easier.  Also when in
the B band, it will not transmit on 2 meters.
