You know, kinda like "Have You Seen This Child?" on the milk cartons?  :-)

An unnamed derelict mail-vendor sent me a 64 mb SDRAM module about 8
weeks ago. It was supposed to be a Fujitsu module. It's been a 24 karat
headache ever since ...

The module has about 16 chips on each side. All but 1 of chips are
marked "F Japan" only the "F" has a little bar above and under the
letter. The board has an "FC" symbol on one side, "Made in USA @ 1997"
only the @ is a copyright symbol. There is a red sticker across 2 chips
with "660487". The invoice sez "64mb SDRAM 168 pin".

Fujitsu tech. support was helpful. The 32 chips are Fujitsu, the board is
not. The design is "4mb by 4", not supported by Fujitsu. The 1 small chip
(non-Fujitsu) appears to be EPROM. The Serial Presence Detect
works OK at 2.5x66mhz, appears to fail at 2.5x75mhz. The module is
supposed to be rated at something like 100mhz.

Additional info follows. If anyone knows who made this module and/or has
any info about it I would appreciate hearing from you. TIA.
