IMPORTANT ALLERGY ALERT - SOY AND KINNIKINNICK DONUTS
We have determined that since October 27, 2004, there has been a problem
with the labelling of 2 of our products. The products affected are:
* Kinnikinnick Chocolate Dipped Donuts 620133002155
o 480g package. Best before date between 04152005 and 08202005
* Kinnikinnick Cinnamon Sugar Donuts 620133002162
o 480g package. Best before date between 04152005 and 08202005
Consumers with allergies to SOY should not consume Kinnikinnick Cinnamon
Sugar Donuts or Kinnikinnick Chocolate Dipped Donuts because they are
incorrectly labeled and contain SOY which is not declared on the label.
Ingredient listing incorrectly states Pea Protein when it should state
Soy Protein.
Only Products with applied labels are affected. Products in preprinted
bags correctly state SOY as an ingredient and are not affected.
Consumers who are allergic to SOY should return to products to point of
sale for a refund. Consumers who are allergic to SOY who purchased
products directly from Kinnikinnick Foods Inc. should contact the
company directly.
Note: For consumers who have NO problems with SOY, the products
ingredients are the same as they have always been and can be enjoyed as
always.
We apologize for this error and are taking steps to ensure that it does
not happen again.
