Vaccine may help food allergy sufferers
A team of researchers at Stanford University are working on a food allergy vaccine that has shown promise in animal tests. In tests on dogs, the vaccine has alleviated allergic reactions to peanuts, milk and wheat. "We're finally entering a realm where different treatment approaches for food allergy are being developed and really look like they're on the five-to-10-year horizon," one pediatric allergist said.
