First, check your cable connections from the monitor, to the video cable,
by removing, and then replacing them. If possible plug the monitor into
another computer. That will immediately tell you if it is the monitor or
something else that is at fault.
If it turns out to be the monitor, then nothing is simple, or
inexpensive, to fix with a monitor. Unless you have a huge investment in a
high end monitor, that you really like, it is probably best just to move on
to a new one.
