Ken,
I'm a renter and poor (financially, not in spirit) by choice. Human
and civil rights work just isn't that valued in this country and even
though my non profit is making history right now with US Senator
Reid's call for an investigation into polygamy and human servitude we
still have no money. I rent and have no security. I have moved three
times in less than two years because the owners sold. This north
shore of Hawaii is constantly for sale, mostly speculators from CA.
One of the houses I was given notice on is back on the market in less
than one year. It's called flipping in the real estate biz and
although it is making it difficult for people like myself to find
reasonable rents, there is nothing illegal about it and no rent control here.
Case's dad is a businessman and has done well. Case will be set up as
an adult and able to actualize himself. My son is not rich but stable
financially and a good planner. And they also rent but own a house
they intend to remodel so they can live in it.
Going off line for a few days.
All the best,
Linda
