Here's a link to a University of Colorado page with a bunch of adaptive
driving resources. A lot of the companies are in the Denver area, so
they might not be helpful, but the other info probably will be.

There's also an association of adaptive driving evaluators/instructors:

After I first started using a power chair, I got a full size van with a
lift and started driving without an evaluation. BIG mistake. I had two
accidents in 6 months. I couldn't effectively handle a vehicle of that
size without a chest strap to help keep me upright. With a strap, it
was possible, but I still felt unsafe. I got a driving eval that
suggested the strap, and getting a smaller vehicle as soon as it was
practical. With gas prices, that turned out to be a great call anyway.

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all
progress depends on the unreasonable man.
