I understand things have taken a turn for the worse as Mr.
Whittington has suffered a heart attack.
I myself know how to shoot (I took target-shooting in college) but I
have never hunted; however I know that safety is of a primary concern
in the field. Granted, Mr. Cheney should have looked hard before
shooting and it's no joke, but Mr. Whittington should have shouted
out his location. I just think the whole incident was an unfortunate
accident that can happen all too easily to anyone who hunts. Now,
how the press office handled the story is all very strange, but there
again, it was left up to Mr. Whittington's family and friends as to
how they wanted to handle it, which to me, seems fair.
Oh, and by the way, Happy Valentine's Day to all!
