Hi Rachel,
Unfortunately, this is common in cp folks who have walked a lot in their
lives. The muscles just get worn out. I recommend feldenkrais method body
work, and perhaps a power scooter for long distances, hot tubs are very
helpful too. You can find out more about feldenkrais at www.feldenkrais.com
Some people find yoga helpful, but that made my back worse. Your mileage
may vary.
